For Roll Collar – add 1 ball to above quantities.
Quantities are approximate as they can vary between knitters.
Check the ball bands to ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot.

NEEDLES AND EXTRAS
•1 pair each 4.00mm (UK 8) and 3.25mm (UK 10) knitting needles, 1 set each of 4.00mm (UK 8) and 3.25mm (UK 10) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension.
•cable needle.
•2 stitch-holders.
•wool needle for sewing seams

TENSION
22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
To work a tension square, use 4.00mm needles, cast on 33 sts.
Work 44 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely.
Please check your tension carefully.
If less sts use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles.

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS
T3B = slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then P1 from cable needle.
T3F = slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, P1, then K2 from cable needle.
C4B = slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle.


BACK
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 98 (110-118-126-138) sts.
1st row – K0 (0-0-2-2), * P2, K2, rep from * to last 2 (2-2-0-0) sts, P2 (2-2-0-0).
2nd row – P0 (0-0-2-2), * K2, P2, rep from * to last 2 (2-2-0-0) sts, K2 (2-2-0-0).
Rep 1st and 2nd rows 7 times, then 1st row once.

Change to 4.00mm needles and beg patt.

Shape Shoulders –
Cast off 9 (9-9-10-10) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 8 (9-10-11-11) sts at beg of foll 2 rows.
Work 6 rows patt on these 28 (30-32-32-36) sts.
Leave rem sts on a stitch-holder.

FRONT
Work as for Back to **.
Work 25 (27-25-23-23) rows patt.
Shape Neck –
Next row – Patt 33 (34-36-39-40), turn.

Shape Shoulder –

Work 1 row.
Cast off rem 8 (9-10-11-11) sts. ***
Slip next 14 (16-16-16-18) sts on a stitch-holder and leave.
Join yarn to rem sts and patt to end.
Rep from *** to ***, working 1 row more before shoulder shaping.

SLEEVES
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 50 (54-54-58-58) sts.
1st row – K2 (0-0-2-2), * P2, K2, rep from * to last 0 (2-2-0-0) sts, P0 (2-2-0-0).
2nd row – P2 (0-0-2-2), * K2, P2, rep from * to last 0 (2-2-0-0) sts, K0 (2-2-0-0).
Rep 1st and 2nd rows 7 times, then 1st row once.

Change to 4.00mm needles and beg patt.

Shape Top –
Keeping patt correct, cast off 3 (4-5-5-6) sts at beg of next 2 rows … 66 (70-74-82-88) sts.
Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt row until 32 (32-36-48-52) sts rem, then in every row until 22 sts rem.
Cont in patt on these 22 sts until work fits evenly along cast off for shoulders on Back and Front, working last row on wrong side.
Cast off
                                          
NECKBAND OPTION
Using wool needle and mattress stitch seam, sew sleeves to front and back, placing half of cast off sts at tops of sleeves to sides of 6 rows at top of back (rem of top sleeve sts from part of neckline). With right side facing and using set of 3.25mm needles, knit up 23 (23-26-28-29) sts evenly along left side of neck, knit across sts from front stitch-holder, knit up 23 (23-26-28-29) sts evenly along right side of neck, then knit across sts from back stitch-holder ... 88 (92-100-104-112) sts.
1st round – * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Rep 1st round 8 times. ****
Cast off loosely in rib.

ROLL COLLAR OPTION
Work as for Neckband Option to ****.
Change to set of 4.00mm needles.
Cont in rib until roll collar measures 16 (17-17-18-18) cm from beg.
Cast off loosely in rib.
Fold roll collar over onto right side.

TO MAKE UP
DO NOT PRESS. Using wool needle and mattress stitch seam, join side and sleeve seams. Using wool needle, sew in all ends.
